ONE of the founders of Basingstoke Blues Club (BBC), Rod Garfield, is to play a special gig for the BBC tomorrow.
He’ll bring his band to the Moose Centre, in Churchill Way, on Friday, August 1 from 8pm until 11.45pm.
Trevor Harms said: “Rod’s amazing band features Rod on vocals and harp, the fantastic Iain McDougal on lead guitar, and the rock steady rhythm section of Derek Alford on bass and Rod’s son Mark Garfield on drums.
“Guests will include Rod’s original drummer Terry Mitchell, Keith Rowley on Sax and Jimmy Johnson on piano.
“I attended the band’s first rehearsal in nearly two decades, and all I will say is do not miss this one.”
Arrive early to secure entry as there is a very high probability this event will be over-subscribed, and will sell out early on.
