TWO hospices in Hampshire have received a one-off funding boost to help support carers.

Hampshire County Council has given £10,000 each to St Michael’s Hospice, in Aldermaston Road, Basingstoke, and Naomi House, in Sutton Scotney.

Councillor Liz Fairhurst, executive member for adult social care and public health, said: “These grants will help to ensure that carers have access to services to help them stay mentally and physically well at a time when they most need it.”
