A VINTAGE watch collection worth £25,000 has been stolen from an Old Basing home.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the house, in Blenheim Road, was targeted on Tuesday, July 15.

A member of the public heard a loud bang between 12.45pm and 1pm and saw someone wearing a crash helmet climbing out of his neighbours address.

The suspect jumped onto the back of a waiting scooter which was ridden off up Park Avenue.

PC Craig Bannerman from Basingstoke police station said: "The alarm went off as a result of this incident. Did you hear the alarm and notice anything suspicious?

"Did you see the suspects and notice what they were wearing?

"Have you been offered any of the watches for sale?"
