AN EMPTY chapel in Whitchurch could be transformed into a design studio if plans are given the green light.

Andover-based company Oz10 Limited, has applied to the borough council on behalf of design company, 3form Design, for planning permission to change the use of a chapel in London Street, Whitchurch.

The application states that six existing full-time employees will be joined by two additional full-time employees.

A request has been made by the applicant to not impose a restriction on the hours of operation at the building as they say “creative people need to work when the time is right”.

In addition, the applicant has asked for permission to build an extension to the side of the existing building as part of the transformation.

The application says: “This proposal creates an inclusive design that leads to a space for all people to enjoy, to thrive in, and to look forward to working in or visiting.”
