AN INQUEST has been opened and adjourned after a man’s body was found in Overton.

Police were called to an address in Harveys Field just after 1pm yesterday, following the discovery of the body. They are not treating the death as suspicious.

The man has been identified as Simon McPhee-Clarke, a 48-year-old from the village.

A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as hanging.

Andrew Bradley, coroner for north east Hampshire, opened and adjourned an inquest to October 1 at Basingstoke County Court.
