A BASINGSTOKE-based charity has received a welcome boost after two funding appeal collections raised well over £2,000.
The Basingstoke Salvation Army raised £1,472.12 during a collection at the Morrisons supermarket, in Worting Road, on June 13 and June 14, and a further £944.69 during a collection at Basingstoke railway station between June 16 and June 20.
The money raised for the Wessex Close-based charity will be used for community work.
