THIS aerial photograph was taken over an area of north Hampshire in 1949, and is part of English Heritage’s collection of one million images.

Britain from Above presents the unique Aerofilms collection of images taken from 1919 to 1953.

This is just one of numerous photographs from the collection which were taken over the local area.

I believe it it King John'd castle near Odiham. It has been in the news lately because it was from there that King John set off in 1215 to sign the Magna Carta.
