A DERELICT stable block in Black Dam was set on fire last night in a suspected arson attack.
Firefighters from Basingstoke fire station were called to the incident at 7.30pm near the Black Dam roundabout, where the single storey stable block was alight.
A crew with two appliances and a water carrier spent just over an hour extinguishing the blaze using a jet and compressed air foam.
The building was 50 per cent damaged.
The incident has now been referred to the police.
