Police cadet scheme to come to Basingstoke
A POLICE cadet scheme will expand to Basingstoke after a successful trial.
The 10-week cadet scheme, for children aged 13 to 18, saw two pilot units created in Southampton, and 74 volunteers recognised at a ceremony yesterday.
Seven new units will be created in September, including Basingstoke, Andover and Aldershot.
