YOUNGSTERS from a pre-school in Basingstoke took to the catwalk to pull in the pounds to fund a move to a permanent building.
Around 30 children, aged between two and four, from Castle Hill Pre-School took part in a fashion show, to generate funds so they can move from Fort Hill Community School, in Kenilworth Road, to a new building.
Children were tasked with creating their own T-shirts for the show, and worked hard in the lead-up to the event preparing their colourful designs.
The extravaganza was a success, raising £210 towards the new-build campaign, which will cost £450,000.
Des Martin, manager of the pre-school, said: “It was lovely, but we were nervous because we weren’t sure the children would have the courage to do their thing.
“They all designed T-shirts and they were given the material and we asked them to design what they wanted. We had a lovely response, one little girl tied and dyed her T-shirt because she loves colour.”
