POLICE have named the man who died after an incident in a house in Kings Furlong as Jay Anthony Benton.
He was 18, of Berkeley Drive, Brighton Hill.
Mr Benton was found in cardiac arrest by officers called to Frescade Crescent, Kings Furlong, at 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics responding to a report of a man with a head injury called police to the house.
The 18-year-old was taken to Basingstoke hospital but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Detective Inspector Ben Chivers, of Basingstoke CID, said: “Our thoughts are with the family of Jay at this very difficult time.
“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death continues. We would urge members of the local community to remain calm and to continue to contact the police with any information that may assist with our investigation.”
Two teenagers, a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday.
They were released on bail yesterday until October 29, pending further enquiries.
A post-mortem examination yesterday failed to determine a cause of death. Further tests will now take place, police said.
