Man injured in A34 van crash
A MAN has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A34 near Whitchurch.
The man was a passenger in a white Vauxhall Vivaro van that overturned on the northbound carriageway between Whitchurch and Litchfield at 5.38am this morning.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver, a 20-year-old man, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Firefighters from Basingstoke fire station went to the scene to help free the passenger from the vehicle.
The northbound carriageway was closed while the work took place, with a diversion in place. The road reopened to traffic at 8.45am.
