A TEENAGER who died after he was found in cardiac arrest in Kings Furlong has been named locally as Jay Benton.
The 18-year-old was found by officers called to a semi-detached house in Frescade Crescent at 2.30pm yesterday afternoon.
He was taken to Basingstoke hospital where he later died.
Paramedics who initially went to the house were responding to a report of a “male with a head injury”, South Central Ambulance Service said.
Two ambulances were sent to the house after receiving a call at 2.11pm yesterday afternoon. The paramedics then called the police at 2.30pm.
A statement from the ambulance service read: “We were called at 2.11pm yesterday afternoon to a report of a male with a head injury at an address in Frescade Crescent, Basingstoke.
“We sent two ambulances to the scene and one male patient was taken to Basingstoke hospital in a life-threatening condition.”
Two teenagers, a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, both from Basingstoke, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are due to be questioned today.
A post-mortem examination by a Home Office pathologist will take place today to help establish the cause of death.
