Basingstoke and Deane from above - correct location of aerial image revealed
ON FRIDAY, The Gazette asked our online readers to identify the location of this photograph, taken over a town in Basingstoke and Deane in 1928.
We can now reveal that the correct answer was the town centre in Whitchurch, taken in August.
The image is part of English Heritage’s collection of 1million aerial photographs taken over Britain from 1919 to 1953.
Look out for our third, and final image, taken over Basingstoke and Deane, which we will upload on Friday.
