OFFICERS from the borough council visited a site in Tadley after concerns were raised about work on an area of woodland.
Staff from the council’s tree and planning enforcement team attended the site, which is in the conservation area, in Church Brook, yesterday.
A statement from the council, sent to The Gazette today, said: “There appears to have been some tree work along with the construction of a new fence and we will be meeting with the landowner to continue the investigation further.”
The Gazette visited the site today, where a man, who declined to give his name but said he was the owner of the site, said he had not chopped any trees down, but had cleared an area to erect a fence in preparation to keep pigs.
