FORMER Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steve Hewlett, who came fourth last year, has offered words of advice to The Addict Initiative now the show has ended.
Steve, who was brought up in Basingstoke and whose family still live here, is in the middle of a UK tour, due at The Haymarket, in Basingstoke, on June 21.
The father-of-one said: “The hard work wasn’t BGT – it started the day it ended.”
He added: “You can’t just hope people will phone – you have to make it work for yourself. I didn’t just sit down after BGT. I made a list of things I wanted to do.”
Steve said Joanne, Ben and members of The Addict Initiative need to ensure their website is up-to-date, and urged them to promote themselves via Twitter.
He said: “They were fantastic on the show – I loved them. But now they need to manage their social media and make sure people know they are still working.”
