A MANUFACTURER of water-cooled gaming PCs has moved its operation to Basingstoke.

YOYOTech, which makes and sells its distinctive custom-built PCs and retails a range of PC components, had outgrown its previous premises in Hemel Hempstead.

The company is now based at Centerprise International’s headquarters, on Hampshire International Business Park, Chineham.

The IT services specialist, headed by Rafi Razzak, acquired YOYOTech in June last year.

However, it is business as usual for online YOYOtech customers, who use the company’s site, as orders are now to be fulfilled from Basingstoke.

The company, which currently employs five people but hopes to increase this, is working on setting up a showroom at the Centerprise headquarters.

Ryan Pearton, business development manager at YOYOTech, said: “We were finding that our Hemel Hempstead premises were just not meeting our needs any more.

“It made perfect sense to move our operation to Basingstoke to a building that can house our manufacturing facility and our online operation and everything else we need, but also gives us the opportunity to serve customers face-to-face.

“There is lots of space for us to open a trade counter, and we’re looking forward to welcoming customers from Basingstoke and beyond to see what YOYOTech has got to offer.

“We’ve got some great new product lines coming in and we’ll be able to showcase those properly. All our staff are PC enthusiasts so we will be delighted to see customers and advise them on how they can get the best performance available for their budget.”

Mr Pearton added: “Centerprise has seen the potential of YOYOtech – this is just the beginning, and we couldn’t have done it without Centerprise.

“We have got the facilities to grow here in Basingstoke and reach our potential.”

YOYOTech has won numerous awards from industry publications and has an enviable reputation among PC gamers for innovation, specialised knowledge and value for money.

The company has held the world PC performance record on several occasions and attracted national press coverage for its most expensive PC – the super-powerful gold-plated XDNA Aurum, priced at £7,979. Aurum is Latin for gold and 79 is the atomic number for the chemical element.
