POLICE have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to following a suspicious incident in Cranbourne.

Shortly before 8pm on June 2, a dog walker parked her van at the bottom of Cranbourne Lane near the underpass.

As she got out to get her dogs ready for a walk, she heard a man say “Oi, she’s still here.”

She looked up to see a man stood in front of her looking at the van, and another man had opened the driver’s side door and had his hand on the steering wheel.

She spoke to the man and then he let go of the steering wheel and both men walked through the underpass.

PC Craig Bannerman said: “This was a strange incident and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen this man in the e-fit image along with another man, to get in touch.

“It’s believed the men were aged in their early 20s. Did you see them or have a similar confrontation?”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Bannerman at Basingstoke police station on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
