A SECOND World War pill box will be formally opened next month following its careful restoration.
As reported in The Gazette, the concrete building in Lynch Hill Park, Whitchurch, is one of 6,000 in the UK built as guard posts, equipped with loopholes through which weapons could be fired.
Graham Burgess, a Whitchurch resident, has led a project to refurbish the Whitchurch pill box to commemorate the war.
