FIVE men and a woman have been charged in connection with the supply of Class A drugs in Basingstoke.

The charges follow drugs raids last month in the Popley area of Basingstoke, as well as homes in Bracknell and Winchester.

More than 130 officers took part in the raids as part of Hampshire Constabulary’s Operation Fortress, a campaign to reduce the harm of drug-related violence.

The men charged are:

• Nathan Mullings, 23, of Clive Green, Bracknell, charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and money laundering

• Solomon Bramble, 25, of Pitcairn Close, Popley, Basingstoke, charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

• Ciaran Boyle, 19, of Main Road, Otterbourne, charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

• Paul Liddle, 27, of Normanton Road, Oakridge, Basingstoke, charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs

• Joel Elie, 23, of Shelley Close, Popley, Basingstoke, charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Ashley Cox, a 19-year-old woman, of Bourdillon Gardens, Popley, Basingstoke, has been charged with money laundering.

All six people are due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 24.

Two other men, a 19-year-old and 28-year-old, are on bail until Friday, July 11, in connection with this investigation.

Police originally said that another man, Aaron Thorn, 19, had been charged.

They have since said this was released in error.

A statement read: "We can confirm that Aaron Thorn has not been charged in connection with drugs supply in Basingstoke.

"We apologise for any distress this may have caused."
