BASINGSTOKE siblings who made it through to the grand final of Britain’s Got Talent missed out on the top prize.

Ben and Joanne Davies, from South Ham, performed as part of dance act Addict Initiative.

Ben, a professional dancer, choreographed their final performance.

Addict Initiative reached the final after finishing as runners-up in the second semi-final, behind teenage singer James Smith.

Their act incorporates sinister storytelling in fast-paced routines, and the team rehearsed for up to 12 hours a day prior to the live final, broadcast on ITV on Saturday night.

Their performance was praised by the judges, including Simon Cowell, but it was operatic boy band Collabro who took the £250,000 prize money and the prized slot on the Royal Variety Performance.
