Artwork commissioned to commemorate First World War
A WORK of contemporary textile art is to be commissioned by Whitchurch Town Council, to comm-emorate the First World War.
The council wants the memorial to be a living textile, owned by the residents of the town, to be on permanent public display in the town hall and have a strong connection to the experience of men and women living in Whit-church during that period.
The winning entrant will be awarded £2,000 to make the artwork.
