A NURSING home in Sherborne St John is set to expand if plans are given the green light by the borough council.
Ensemble Healthcare Limited has applied to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for planning permission to build an extension to The Grange Nursing Home, in Vyne Road, Sherborne St John.
The extension is set to create an additional 10 bedrooms to increase the capacity at the home to 34 bedrooms. As part of the improvements to the nursing home, a new passenger lift will also be installed to enable the transfer of bed-bound patients around the home.
The application says: “In recent years, The Grange Nursing Home has enjoyed a growing reputation for providing a more specialist approach to care.
“All new rooms will have en-suite facilities and are designed to be easily accessible to the large open garden space. This enables all residents, even those with limited mobility, to enjoy the garden to the full.”
