THREE teens were robbed on Wednesday night as they walked home from a night out.

The boys were assaulted by a group of two men and two women who demanded they hand over their belongings, stealing money, a phone, a hip flask and a packet of cigarettes.

The incident happened between 11.30pm and midnight in Shakespeare Road, near to Chineham Park Court as the victims, aged in their late teens, walked home from the town centre The two men police wish to speak to in connection with the assault are described as white, aged late teens/early 20s and about 6ft tall.

The first male had short brown hair, athletic build and was wearing dark blue tracksuit bottoms, with no top.

The second male is described as slim build and was wearing a blue hooded top with a logo, dark bottoms. He had the hood pulled up throughout the incident.

The two women are described as white, 5 ft 4 tall, of chubby build, with medium length blonde hair and wearing a dark coloured jacket. One of the women had a piercing in the lower part of her face.

PC Mike Ahearne, said: “This was a one off incident, believed to be an unprovoked assault on three men walking home after a night out.

“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information about it.

“On routes home in the evening, our advice is to walk in groups, stay on well-lit paths, and call police should you feel threatened or find anything suspicious.”
