A WILDLIFE enthusiast is appealing for people to look out for a piece of equipment which was stolen from a tree.
Robert Berry had fixed the bushman trail camera to a tree on farmland in Sherborne St John, in order to record night animals such as foxes and badgers.
But when he returned to see what his camera had captured, he found it had been taken down and was gone.
The 69-year-old, from Sherborne St John, had permission to install the camera, and believes whoever took it must have known it was there.
The retired father-of-two has reported the theft to the police. The equipment, worth around £250, was installed on Tuesday, May 13, and was missing by Sunday, May 18. Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
