POLICE are appealing for witnesses after nearly £5,000 of tools were stolen from a commercial property in Whitchurch last week.
The Garden Ranger, in Church Street was broken into between 5.30pm on Thursday, May 22 and 6.45am the next day.
Nine tools, including a saw, hedge trimmers, a strimmer, nail gun, chainsaw and a drill were stolen. Collectively, they are valued at between £4,000 and £5,000.
The police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Church Street, the Murco Garage and the Garden Ranger overnight on May 22 to come forward.
In addition, anyone who may have been offered tools for sale is also urged to contact them.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Jonathan Hayes at Whitchurch police station on 101 or the anonymous charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
