AN AIR ambulance has landed in South Ham after a child was hit by a car while crossing the road.

South Central Ambulance Service was called to the scene near Basingstoke fire station at 11.52am this morning.

A spokeswoman said the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is still at the scene but confirmed that the boy who was hit appears to have minor injuries.
