RESIDENTS of an extra care home scheme enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities when members of the Prince’s Trust Team programme paid a visit.

Nine members on the team programme, which is based at Basingstoke fire station, spent a day at Sentinel Housing Association-run Abbey Court, in Popley Way, Basingstoke, as part of a 12-week course to help unemployed young people find work or go on to further education or training.

Toni Snarey, the Abbey Court scheme co-ordinator, said: “The residents had a great day spending time with the young people from our local Prince’s Trust Team programme.

“There were card games, origami lessons and lots of laughter. Fun was had by all and we wish all the team members well for the future.”

Hayley Drinkwater, the trust team leader said: “Basingstoke’s Prince’s Trust team had a fantastic time visiting the residents at Abbey Court. We have gained many new skills whilst visiting them, and had a great time interacting with them.”
