A PROMINENT figure in Hampshire politics has lost his seat at Hart District Council.
Jonathan Glen, who is also the Odiham representative at Hampshire County Council, came fourth in the voting for the Hook ward. Only the top three candidates won seats in the ward.
Independent candidate Robert Leeson won 1,406 votes, in front of Conservative candidates Mike Morris (1,215), Brian Burchfield (1,143) and Mr Glen (1,134).
In Odiham, Conservative councillors Ken Crookes, Stephen Gorys and John Kennett retained their seats.
Conservatives also won all three seats in Hartley Wintney, with successes for Anne Crampton, Tim Southern and Sara Kinnell.
