THE bodies of four RAF Odiham personnel will be returned to the UK later today.
Captain Thomas Clarke, 30, Warrant Officer Class 2 Spencer Faulkner, and Corporal James Walters, from the Army Air Corps, and Flight Lieutenant Rakesh Chauhan, 30, died in a Lynx helicopter crash in Afghanistan on April 26.
Lance Corporal Oliver Thomas, from the 3rd Battalion, Military Intelligence of the Army Intelligence Corps, based in London, also died.
An aircraft carrying the bodies will arrive at RAF Brize Norton at 1.30pm.
A private memorial service will also take place today RAF Odiham, at 2.30pm, for all station personnel and their families.
Another service, which will be open to the public, will take place at St Mary’s Church, Burghfield, from 4pm.
Condolence books have also been opened at the RAF Odiham Church.
