Ron Foley prepares to close Foley's Furniture in 2011. It is now set to become a tea shop
A SHOP in Basingstoke town centre, which has been empty for two years, is set to be converted into a tea shop.
The site in Feathers Lane, just off Wote Street, previously housed Foley’s Furniture, a family-run business which operated in Basingstoke for nearly 25 years before it shut up shop in November 2011.
Now, The Kitschen Café has been granted permission to set up a tea room in the building. The café will be primarily a takeaway service with an option to sit in.
