TRIBUTES have poured in on social media sites for a teenage girl who died last Saturday.

Whitney Berridge fell ill at a house in Paddock Road, South Ham on April 19.

The 15-year-old was treated by paramedics and taken by ambulance to hospital, but died later that day.

Police have confirmed that they were called to the house at 3.30pm on Saturday, and said that although the death is not being treated as suspicious, the cause is currently unknown.

North East Hampshire Coroner’s Office is waiting for the results of toxicology tests before opening an inquest.

Dozens of tributes have been left for Whitney on Facebook following her death, and an event has been organised for Monday, at War Memorial Park, in memory of the teenager.

Those attending have been asked to bring flowers and light lanterns for Whitney.
