A PUB is to host a fun day tomorrow to raise money for a charity that is raising cash for a family battling for justice.

The Fox & Hounds, in Mulfords Hill, will hold the event for the Out of the Blue charity between noon and 6pm. It will feature plenty for families to enjoy, with a bouncy castle, Easter egg hunt, an Easter bonnet competition, a giant slide and ‘name the chick’.

Out of the Blue was set up following the death of Tadley teenager Robert Sebbage to help his family pay legal and other costs involved in attending a trial in Greece.

Robert, a former pupil at The Hurst Community College, was killed on the Greek island of Zante on July 13, 2011 while on holiday with friends.

Greek taxi driver Stelios Morfis was found guilty of the unintentional manslaughter of 18-year-old Robert, following a two-week trial in 2012, but was cleared of murder.

A retrial, called for by a Greek prosecutor, has now been set for June 11 this year in a Greek Court of Appeal.

The fundraising day is being organised by Glenn Tomblin, who works as head doorman at the pub.

He said: “Out of the Blue is a good local charity, and we wanted to do something to raise money for them.

“Entrance will be free, but we will be having collection boxes, and we’re hoping to raise as much money as possible. There will be something for everyone and we’re hoping to have a lot of families come along with their children.”
