A NEW residential street could be built in Winchfield.

Lacken Construction has applied to demolish farm buildings on a 1.06-hectare site north of Winchfield Court, in Pale Lane, and build 18 new homes.

They would include nine two-bedroom houses, seven three-bedroom houses and two four-bedroom houses, with associated parking and landscaping.

Hart District Council will decide on the application by Thursday, June 26.

Who will ensure that these houses are owner-occupied, and not buy-to-let. Who will ensure that they are occupied by UK citizens, so that we don't end up concreting over our countryside to accommodate citizens of other countries?
