PUPILS heard stories from Odiham villagers as part of a news-writing project supported by The Gazette.
Around 30 people were interviewed by pupils at Mayhill Junior School, in The Bury, as part of the project.
The children had written letters of invitation to the people in the village and had prepared questions to ask them about their lives.
The children also served tea and cakes and the event ended with a presentation by Year 6 pupils about World War Two.
Headteacher Katy Harris congratulated the children and the visitors for the afternoon event.
The ‘Making The News’ project had included a presentation last month by crime and Hart area reporter Chris Gregory.
After a short presentation, the children asked him questions, including who is the most famous person he has interviewed, and whether he found certain stories upsetting to write.
