FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman trapped in her car after a crash in Beggarwood.
The crash took place at 11.20am this morning in Beggarwood Lane, at its junction with Turnberry Drive.
The woman was trapped in her BMW convertible and firefighters cut out the car’s seats so she could be lifted out using a spinal board. She was then taken to hospital.
The male driver of the other car, a Citroen Saxo, was not injured.
Police officers closed the road while the rescue took place. Two crews from Basingstoke fire station attended.
