Fundraiser for allotments raises hundreds
PLOT-HOLDERS in Hook raised cash for their allotment by tucking into a curry buffet.
A total of 37 members of the Hook Allotments Association attended the fundraiser at The Gate of India restaurant, in London Road.
The evening raised £300 through ticket sales and a raffle, which will go towards the total cost of buying a site in Reading Road.
More money will be raised at the Hook Spring Fayre at the Elizabeth Hall, in Raven Road, on Sunday, April 27.
