THE streets of Oakley are much cleaner thanks to the efforts of volunteers.
Cub Scouts joined around 40 Oakley residents to help clean up the village.
The annual event is organised by Oakley Community Association to tidy up the streets, play areas and paths around the village by removing litter.
The Cubs attended the clean-up as part of their work towards their community badge.
Eve Askew, secretary of the association, said: “The Community Church provided a gazebo and served hot drinks and a wonderful selection of home-made cakes at the end of the afternoon.
“The mini skip was provided courtesy of Basingstoke Skip Hire.”
