Cafe could be opened at Kingsclere garden centre

A LOCAL bakery has applied to the borough council for planning permission to open a café at a garden centre in Kingsclere.

CakeyPigg Originals, which is based in Granary Court, Stratfield Saye has applied to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to change the use of an unused part of the Cottismore Garden Centre, in Newbury Road, for a tea room and a kitchen.

If approved, the café will provide two full-time jobs and three part-time jobs. The applicant has proposed opening hours of 9am to 6pm, Mondays to Saturdays and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays and bank holidays.
