A CHARITY that helps to home cats received a cash boost from its latest jumble sale in Tadley.
The Basingstoke and District Cats Protection group held the sale at the Ambrose Allen Centre, in Franklin Avenue, last Saturday.
Items for sale included litter trays, second-hand books, calendars with pictures of cats, and greeting cards.
There were also several competitions, including photography and one where people could win a bottle of alcohol by guessing what was underneath a bag.
Hilary Wells, branch co-ordinator, said: “I think with the fantastic weather we have had today the turnout was a bit slow. But we have always been well supported by the people of Tadley at both our spring and autumn fairs.”
Money raised from the day will go towards the cost of rehoming cats, as well as medical and neutering costs.
