MEMBERS of the public are invited to ‘have their say’ on which community and voluntary organisations should receive a much-needed cash boost.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Basingstoke Voluntary Services are working in partnership to deliver the small-scale community participatory budget initiative, known as Have your Say, on behalf of Hampshire County Council.

The grant scheme is designed to support voluntary and community groups, with local people helping to determine which should receive the funding. Grants of between £200 and £2,000 will be awarded.

Residents will be invited to vote in person on Wednesday, March 26 for the projects they feel would most benefit their community.

This will take place from 3pm until 7pm at the offices of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, in London Road.
