CRIME rose in Overton in January compared to the same period last year.
In total, 34 incidents were reported to police, of which 10 were in relation to crime.
These included incidents of criminal damage, fly-tipping, theft from a vehicle and theft of a vehicle.
In the same period in 2013, nine criminal acts were reported.
PCSO Paul Harrison promised villagers that he will work to keep levels of crime and anti-social behaviour low, following the departure of his colleague, PC Richard Baldwin, who has been posted to cover Highclere and Burghclere.
