FOUR football-crazy friends are taking on an incredible challenge – to travel to 92 Football League grounds across England and Wales in 92 hours to raise money for a children’s hospice.

And after the epic four-day mission is completed, the friends will hold a fundraising event at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club to auction off a mountain of football memorabilia, and raise even more money.

Cris Bowden, 34, Andy Price, 47, Steve Wells, 54, and Marc Harris, 43, are behind the 92 clubs in 92 hours challenge, which they will take on between April 9 and April 12.

They come from all over the country and became friends when they met as travelling England supporters.

They have been appealing to football clubs and sports stars for goodies to auction off during the evening of April 25 at the Sherfield-on-Loddon event, which is raising money for the Helen & Douglas House charity, in Oxford.

So far, more than 40 clubs have donated items. The evening will include a curry meal, a raffle and a fundraising game and will also feature Southampton FC legend Matt Le Tissier as the guest speaker.

Tickets cost £30. To book a ticket, email crisbowden1980 @gmail.com. To make a donation, visit justgiving. com/Cris-Bowden.
