THE family of a teenager who died after he was hit by a lorry near Hartley Wintney has paid tribute to him.
Jack James Brown, 15, from Frimley in Surrey, was seriously injured in the crash which took place just after midday on Monday on the A30 at Hartfordbridge, to the east of the village.
A statement from his family said: “Jack was a loving and caring boy who was adored by all his family. His energy and humour touched everyone that met him. He was a fantastic brother and the best son a parent could ask for.
“We miss you Jack, with all our hearts, and you will never be forgotten.”
Following the crash Jack was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The occupants of the Volvo lorry, two men in their 30s, were not injured but were left shaken by the crash.
Police are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact the roads policing unit at Whitchurch by calling 101, quoting Operation Bandrake.
