Thieves raid Basingstoke supermarket for cigarettes

THIEVES stole cigarettes after breaking into a Basingstoke supermarket.

It is thought two people broke into the Co-op store in Winklebury Way, Winklebury, between 1.30am and 4.30am on Wednesday, March 5.

The force said a large quantity of cigarettes was stolen during the raid.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who has been offered cigarettes for sale recently.
