CHILDREN from a school in Old Basing got the chance to have a behind the scenes look at a local car dealership.
Ninety children, aged four and five, from Old Basing Infant School, were given a tour at the Eden Garage, in London Road, Old Basing. The children from the school, in The Mead, requested to go behind the scenes at a garage as part of a transport project.
They were shown around three workshops at the car dealership, which sells Hyundai and Fiat vehicles, including the MoT centre, another workshop where repairs were being carried out, and another room where engines were being worked on.
Pupils from the school were also given a tour of the car showroom and got to sample life in the driving seat in some of the most popular cars.
Karen Murty, a reception teacher at the school, said: “It was fun, hands-on and the staff answered all of the children’s questions.”
