BOROUGH residents are being offered the opportunity to save money and energy with Energy Action North Hampshire – a partnership between Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hart District Council.
The joint project, which accesses ECO funding, aims to provide free home energy improvements to households and residents on low incomes by taking a whole-house and multi-funding approach to saving energy.
Energy Action North Hampshire are also able to identify all the relevant grants, subsidies and finance schemes available in the area, making the scheme financially feasible for residents.
For residents on certain benefits the work can be free, this can also apply to local private landlords with tenants receiving qualifying benefits.
Councillor Robert Donnell, Cabinet member for the environment at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, said: “Energy bill increases impact on everyone but particularly residents already living on low incomes.”
