AN initiative to help new mums keep fit while bonding with their baby has launched in Tadley.
Buggyfit, a free course run by the borough council, will offer six one-hour lessons, led by qualified pre and post-natal personal trainer Emma Perkins.
Buggies and babies are an essential part of the exercises.
Last year, the council ran several popular Buggyfit courses elsewhere in the borough.
Councillor Cathy Osselton, cabinet member for partnerships, said: “It’s fantastic that the council is able to offer these courses for a second year.
“From what I’ve seen first-hand, they are a great opportunity for new mums to get outdoors and active without worrying about who looks after the baby.
“Partnerships like this, targeted at people who might otherwise not have access to sports and fitness activities, play a key role in improving health and wellbeing in the borough.”
The course begins on Thursday, March 6, at 9.30am at Jubilee Day Nursery, Rectory Road, Padworth Common.
