A CHINOOK from RAF Odiham carried two military Land Rovers to flood stricken parts of the Isle of Wight.
Personnel from 27 Squadron were called to transport 22 Reservists from 7 th Battalion, The Rifles, to the island on Saturday.
They returned the same day to transport the two vehicles with their drivers and equipment to Newport on the Isle of Wight.
The reservists were called to help with tidal and groundwater flooding, and distributed sandbags to help those in need.
Group Captain Richard Maddison, station manager at RAF Odiham, said: “This is a fantastic example of the adaptability and capability of the Chinook Force and all its support personnel.”
