AN INQUEST has been opened and adjourned for the death of a man who collapsed outside his house in Kingsclere.
Patrick Evans, 54, of Swan Street, was involved in an incident with another man near a pinch point outside his home between 7.45pm and 8.10pm on Saturday, February 1.
After his collapse, Mr Evans was taken to Basingstoke hospital where he died on Thursday, February 6.
A 20-year-old man from Bishops Green has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
This morning Andrew Bradley, coroner for North East Hampshire, opened and adjourned the inquest for a review on April 16, pending the police investigation.
Police would like to speak to motorists who may have seen the two men in Swan Street.
